Before KIC: How My Videography Journey Began

Hi friends, welcome!

I’m so excited you’re here. Since this is my very first blog post, I thought it would be the perfect time to share a little more about me and how I got started with videography.

Back in high school, I was always behind the camera. I started out creating hype videos for my cheer and gymnastics teams, along with highlight reels from competition days. I even ran our team’s social media, where I got to share those videos and see how much everyone enjoyed them. That was the spark that made me realize how powerful video can be in bringing people together.

Growing up, I was always filming something. I thought I might even become a YouTuber at one point, and I still create little vlogs for myself so I can look back on those memories. No matter what, making videos has always been a part of my life.

About four years ago, I was introduced to wedding videography and photography and I immediately fell in love with it. Filming my very first wedding was such a fun and unforgettable experience. Capturing the emotions, the joy, and all the little details of such an important day made me realize this was something I wanted to do for others again and again.

Why I Do What I Do

For me, videography is about more than just pressing record. It’s about storytelling—the kind you can watch years from now and still feel the emotions as if you’re right there. Whether it’s a wedding, an elopement, or a community event, I love creating films that reflect the joy, love, and meaning behind the moment.
